Capital Region MU Health Care Amphitheater will conduct concerts, shows and events between May and November – most events will be in the evenings and on weekends. Availability must include Friday and Saturday nights for all positions.
VenuWorks is thrilled to offer summer (seasonal) part-time positions in the following departments:
Food & Beverage:
Bartenders and Beer Vendors – MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OVER – All alcoholic beverage servers will be required to achieve certification through the SMART training program (State of Missouri Alcohol Responsibility Training). This is a free, online class that will educate you on recognition of fake ID’s, acceptable forms of ID, prevention of service to minors, laws and liability concerns related to selling to underage or intoxicated customers. Must be able to provide fast, friendly service at portable stands throughout the amphitheater.
Event Staff – ticket takers and ushers will be responsible for assisting guests in entry and seating areas. Hand-held scanners will be used for guest entry, digital tickets will be shown for reserved seating areas including individual reserved seats, reserved terrace lawn and box suites. We are seeking friendly faces who are willing to answer questions, direct guests to restroom and food & beverage areas and anything else they may need. Post show assistance with lawn and pavilion garbage pick-up.
Crowd Management – these employees will assist at the gates screening guests for prohibited items, controlling flow of traffic into the venue and answering questions related to the event. They will also assist in securing backstage and stage areas. Participation in a paid, VenuWorks-lead crowd management training seminar is required before working an event. Post show patrolling of parking areas for safety of our guests.
Parking Attendants – these employees will provide traffic control into Riverside Park, directing guests to the best parking area available when they arrive and directing disabled guests to the best parking area depending on their seat location. Must be available from late afternoon until show begins for most events.
Stagehands/Riggers – experience in show load-in, set up and load-out preferred. Set up touring show equipment under the direction of the tour production crew and VenuWorks technical director. Hours will begin as early as 7:00 a.m. with a break in the afternoon and return to work in the evening. Spotlight operation experience a plus.
Pre-show set up of tents, tables, chairs as needed. Event housekeeping – quick clean-up, restocking. Post show tear down, put away all tents, tables, chairs and assist with lawn and pavilion pick up. Must be available from late afternoon until after show ends.
Selling tickets to show on the Ticketmaster selling platform. Previous experience preferred but not necessary. Available from late afternoon until show time for most events.
